ネクタイのもっとも一般的な素材はシルク(絹)ですが、着物も同じく絹が代表的な素材とされています。
美しい光沢と滑らかで肌に吸い付くような手触りが高級感を演出し、また、軽くて丈夫なことも絹の特徴の一つです。
着物の素材によっては木綿や麻を使用したものもございます。
こちらは吸水性や通気性に優れていますので、ネクタイとして生まれ変わっても素朴な風合いが古くからの日本らしさを演出してくれます。

使用している生地は未使用のものや、古着物・帯を解いて綺麗に洗ってから作ったものも含みます。
生地は本物の古い着物や帯ですが、リメイク品のため、傷や目立たないシミが残っている場合があります。
